Q: Why would you want to restore this church?
A: This church has been a community landmark for a century and a
quarter. The construction of the building is solid and we feel that the
building is a very significant historic landmark in the community.
Q: Where will the money come from?
A: We hope that you will donate whatever amount
you can. We've done mailings, news releases, web
presence and word of mouth. Initial response has been encouraging and we
have accumulated minimal startup funds already. Once we've
accumulated start up capital, then we can start looking for matching
grants from private and government trusts for historic preservation.
Q: Who is Bethel Cemetery Company, Inc.
A: Bethel Cemetery Association was formed as a 501(c)3 Non Profit
Corporation in 1952 for the purpose of perpetual care an upkeep of the
cemetery. It is an active organization with Officers and Directors.
Q: How can I help?
A: We need the following products and services: Roofing, siding and installers, We also need materials to finish the inside and talented individuals to refinish the interior as envisioned. Stone and concrete masons will be needed to complete steps leading in to the front and to repair the stone foundation supporting the building.
